After her success in Imola, her competitive activity continued: as a semifinalist in the Premiere Opera Foundation New York competition in December 2024 and, after successful qualification, a participation in the Veronica Dunne Competition 2025 in Dublin in January.
In October 2024 Lisa was a Finalist in the 4th edition of the Stignani Competition in Imola.
Born in 1992 in Rottweil, Germany, soprano Lisa Katharina Gaiselmann began her musical journey with voice training under Birgit Wagner-Ruh, alongside classical ballet studies. In 2013, she performed the roles of the First Lady and Papagena in Mozart’s *Die Zauberflöte*, and in 2014, she portrayed the title role of Gretel in Humperdinck’s *Hänsel und Gretel* in collaboration with Talentwerkstatt 43.e.V. in Rottweil.
In 2013, Lisa commenced her Bachelor of Music studies with Professor Turid Karlsen at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, graduating with distinction in 2018. From 2015 to 2021, she was a scholarship recipient of the Yehudi Menuhin "Live Music Now" Foundation, further enriching her musical education. During this time, she participated in masterclasses with esteemed instructors such as Denette Whitter, Professor Klesie Kelly, Margreet Honig, KS Sylvia Geszty, and Inge Borkh.
In addition to her operatic endeavors, Lisa has built a strong reputation as a concert singer, including performances as soprano soloist in Schubert's *Mass in C Major* and Handel's *Messiah*. In July 2017, she performed as a Geisha in a production with the New Music Ensemble under Professor Angelika Luz at the House of History, Stuttgart. Later that year, in November 2017, she sang the roles of Tenerina and Tamiri in Niccolò Jommelli’s *Il cacciatore deluso* in Tübingen.
In June 2020, Lisa appeared at the Kirsten Flagstad Festival in an online livestream from Stuttgart, and later that year, she received a scholarship from SWR for her participation in the "Klangspektrum Baden-Württemberg" series. In April 2021, she was a finalist and received the Special Award (3rd Prize) in the Lions Club Competition in Stuttgart. The following month, she was named "Voice of the Month" by the Opera Academy Baden-Baden.
Her operatic debut as Frasquita in Bizet’s *Carmen* came in July 2021 with the Young Opera Weikersheim, conducted by Elias Grandy at Weikersheim Castle. Lisa earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart with top honors in November 2021. In June 2022, she reprised the role of Frasquita in *Carmen* at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen, conducted by Solvejg Bauer, and made her acting debut as Elizabeth in Patrick Hamilton’s thriller *Gaslight*, directed by Christian Stadlhofer.
For the 2022/23 & 2023/24 season, Lisa Gaiselmann was in addition to her freelance work, a member of the State Opera Chorus at the Stuttgart State Opera.
